'View' Co-Host Makes Hilarious Gaffe About Donald Trump Jr. Wedding And Her Excuse Is Priceless

“The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin made an accidental remark about Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday that was both terribly inaccurate and, frankly, kinda hilarious. The president’s eldest son married Bettina Anderson over the weekend, but Griffin, who served in the White House during President Donald Trump’s first administration, managed to screw up one important detail. It happened while the panel was discussing the fact that the elder Trump skipped the wedding in the Bahamas entirely, which led Joy Behar to crack, “If they had done the wedding at McDonald’s, maybe he would go.” The audience laughed at Behar, but was shocked by what Griffin said next. “I, oddly enough, talked about this on CNN on Friday. I said he should go,” Griffin said, before noting, “A parent should try to never miss their child’s funeral.” Fellow panelist Sara Haines covered her face with her hands at the comment, while the audience audibly reacted in shock. Griffin, figuring out her flub, immediately corrected herself, saying, “Or ... I’m sorry, oh God, wedding!” She then explained the reason for her gaffe — “Honestly, I’m so tired, I have a 3-month-old” — before emphasizing her point that a parent “should never miss a wedding if they’re able to.” “Depending on how many they’ve had,” Goldberg slyly added, a reference to the fact that this is Don Jr.’s second walk down the aisle. After Griffin said she didn’t think Trump would have been criticized if he had attended his son’s wedding, Behar made another crack: “He can go to the next one.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
