The Trump administration is planning a government-wide nondisclosure agreement that would prevent federal workers from sharing “confidential government information” with journalists, according to a new draft notice posted to the Federal Register on Tuesday by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. As The Washington Post first reported, the new rule would aim to crack down on federal employees leaking information to news organizations. "OPM believes that a standard NDA form will promote consistency across Government, better protect confidential information, and better inform Federal employees of their rights and obligations regarding confidential information," the form states. "OPM expects that the proposed NDA will be an Optional Form, meaning that Federal agencies would have discretion whether to use the NDA." The controversial form is a stark contrast to the way confidential information has been handled within the Trump administration, from contractors to cabinet officials.Last year, cabinet officials accidentally texted the top editor of The Atlantic about active military strike plans on an app the Pentagon had just warned was being targeted by Russia. Federal investigations and court filings earlier this year also revealed that DOGE operatives improperly accessed, shared, and stored sensitive personal data while working inside federal agencies. President Donald Trump will reportedly gather his Cabinet at Camp David on Wednesday amid the fragile ceasefire with Iran. The New York Post, citing White House officials, said on Tuesday that the president and his top team are to meet at the country retreat in Maryland to discuss domestic and policy issues. CNBC confirmed the Post's reporting. Outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is expected to attend. The rare Camp David meeting comes as fresh U.S. bombing in Iran — dubbed "self-defense" by the Trump administration — has raised questions about the emerging peace deal with Tehran. Iran will restore "full internet access" within the next 24 hours, an Iranian government official told reporters Tuesday. It remains unclear whether a full restoration will occur, however, and efforts could be stalled due to an administrative court intervention, The Guardian reported. "After holding several meetings, they reached the conclusion that internet access should be restored," said Iranian government spokesperson Fatemah Mohajeri, given what she described as the government's commitment to "protecting people's rights and preventing any form of injustice and discrimination." CBS News also reported that Iranian telecommunications news outlet CITNA also reported that Iran's Deputy Minister of Communications, Dr. Ehsan Chitsaz, announced a phased reconnection to the international internet, following a presidential directive from Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian to end the blackout.According to Netblocks, an organization that monitors internet access, connectivity had been shut down in Iran for nearly three months as of Tuesday, following U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran on Feb. 28 that launched the ongoing war. Netblocks noted "partial restoration" of service, noting that many citizens still have connectivity issues following the order. The state-level shutdown is considered to be the longest nationwide internet blackout in modern history, lasting 88 days, or 2,093 hours, in isolation from the outside world. President Donald Trump arrived at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Tuesday morning for his latest medical exam. The White House has characterized the 79-year-old's visit to the Bethesda, Maryland, facility as an annual dental and medical evaluation. But Trump, who becomes an octogenarian next month and has faced repeated questions about his physical and mental health, has already had three publicly disclosed medical check-ups since his return to office last year. The White House pool reporter noted press vans separated from the presidential motorcade on arrival at Walter Reed, and the correspondent said they have not seen the president this morning. The BP board voted unanimously to remove its chairman, Albert Manifold, due to “serious concerns” that were “related to important governance standards, oversight and conduct.” “[T]he board has been surprised and disappointed to learn of governance oversight and conduct issues it deems unacceptable and has taken decisive action,” Amanda Blanc, the petroleum giant’s senior independent director, said in a statement. BP did not elaborate on the precise nature of the allegations against Manifold. Vice President JD Vance is expected to host state attorneys general for another anti-fraud roundtable on Tuesday afternoon at the White House, the latest development in the Trump administration’s crackdown on alleged fraud. The White House created the anti-fraud task force in March, tapping Vance as chairman and Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson as vice chair. While more than a dozen Republican attorneys general are expected to attend, according to Politico, Democrats have declined the meeting because their invitations were sent on Friday, with a deadline to RSVP by Saturday. Republicans were reportedly invited a week prior. “While we would appreciate the opportunity to engage in serious discussions, the invitation was provided with less than one business day’s notice with no agenda,” the letter obtained by Politico reads. “This short notice does not match the spirit of collaboration that has long defined our joint efforts with federal partners. Accordingly, we respectfully decline to attend at this time.” Democrats who signed the letter include several states that the Trump administration has heavily targeted, such as Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey, as well as North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson, Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown, New York Attorney General Letitia James and more. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the Strait of Hormuz will be open “one way or another” while speaking to reporters aboard a flight during the final leg of his four-day visit to India. "They’re going to be open, one way or the other. So they need to be open. What’s happening there is unlawful. It’s illegal. It’s unsustainable for the world. It’s unacceptable," Rubio said, adding there is not a country in the world that favors Iran's self-imposed "tolling system." "The straits need to be open, unimpeded, without tools. And obviously that needs to happen immediately as soon as anything is agreed to," he added. LAS VEGAS (AP) — Fred Kerley ran 100 meters in a pedestrian 9.97 seconds Sunday night to win the Enhanced Games in a race where the sprinters had to be placed in the starting blocks four times because of false starts and untied shoes. Kerley, who predicted Usain Bolt’s world record of 9.58 seconds would get “destroyed,” ran a time that would have placed him last at the Paris Olympics two years ago, where he ran 9.81 and won bronze. K-pop supergroup BTS won Artist of the Year at the 2026 American Music Awards, which took place Monday in Las Vegas. Other big winners include Bruno Mars, BTS, Cardi B, KATSEYE, Sabrina Carpenter, HUNTR/X and Sombr, who all won three awards each, according to Billboard. Bee, a former correspondent for "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central who went on to host her own show on TBS, "Full Frontal With Samantha Bee," will star as Canada's ambassador to Bulgaria on a comedy called "The Ambassador," according to an announcement from the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. . WASHINGTON, May 26 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump, who turns 80 next month, will undergo his routine annual physical on Tuesday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, following a year of public attention on apparently minor health issues. Trump frequently casts himself as more energetic and fitter than Joe Biden, his Democratic predecessor who left office last year at age 82 after facing questions about his fitness for the job. Still, recent photographs showing a blotchy neck rash have added to questions about Trump's health, following images in July 2025 of swollen ankles and a bruised hand concealed with makeup. Trump, whose birthday is June 14, became the oldest person to assume the presidency when he began his second term in January 2025. President Donald Trump kicked off Tuesday morning with a flood of Truth Social posts, many featuring AI-generated images praising his work and criticizing his rivals. Trump reposted 11 images within 20 minutes early Tuesday morning. Voters in Texas saw little of the Republican candidates for U.S. Senate on Monday — provided they stayed away from screens. Sen. John Cornyn and state Attorney General Ken Paxton had no public campaign events scheduled for the final day of their more-than-yearlong quest for the GOP nomination. Instead, their fight for Tuesday’s runoff continued as it has for months — intense and unabated — through advertising that has topped $109 million, heavily from Cornyn’s side.
