Ana Navarro Stunned After Whoopi Goldberg Snaps At Her During Tense JD Vance Interview

A very tense moment that occurred during the live broadcast of Vice President JD Vance’s interview on “The View” Tuesday was edited out of the show’s YouTube account — and that’s because co-host Whoopi Goldberg visibly lost her temper. So much so that an awkward Vance looked like this after the exchange: What went down was that Goldberg went off on co-host Ana Navarro after she attempted to squeeze in one last question for Vance while Goldberg was trying to break for commercials. “I gotta, I have to,” Goldberg muttered as Navarro spoke over her, resulting in Goldberg waving her hands in frustration. “I have to go to break!” Goldberg yelled as she clapped her hands. “Ana, God, please!” she finally snapped. In response, both Navarro and Vance went silent and stared at Goldberg, a bit stunned. After saying her sign-off and the show was transitioning to commercials, Goldberg could be seen looking at Navarro and angrily saying: “Don’t do that!” Right before Goldberg flipped out, the panel was engaged in a heated discussion about the Trump administration’s efforts to erase and silence Black Americans and their history. Goldberg initially prompted the confrontation, with her and co-host Sunny Hostin citing examples like the Trump administration “whitewashing” slavery exhibitions at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and the recent dismantling of the Voting Rights Act. Goldberg’s frustration with the rest of the panel was bubbling up throughout the 40-minute interview with Vance, who appeared on the show to promote his new book, “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.” Yet, considering that the bulk of the panel on “The View” are vocal critics of President Donald Trump and his policies, they didn’t have much interest in discussing Vance’s latest cash grab. Instead, they focused most of their questions on the actions of Trump’s very messy second term. Thanks to this, the women frequently talked over one another and peppered Vance with follow-up questions as he attempted to evade most confrontations, causing time issues. The first sign of Goldberg’s impending outburst occurred early, right before the first commercial break. The panel and Vance were engaged in a discussion about the release of the Epstein files when a slightly panicked Goldberg cut in to shut it down. “Let me go to break, let me go to break,” she said, indicating that the crew behind the scenes was signaling to her to wrap things up. During the next segment, Goldberg cut off co-host Joy Behar when she attempted to interject as Vance explained how he became a Trump supporter after previously being a vocal critic. Behar looked visibly annoyed. A few minutes later, Goldberg cut off Navarro for the first time as she was trying to ask a follow-up question about the Trump administration’s treatment of immigrants. “Please hold on, hold on,” Goldberg said sternly to Navarro in order to take an ad break. Here’s hoping that Goldberg — unlike Vance during the interview — takes some accountability for her actions.
