If summer always feels a little more chaotic (and uncomfy 🥵) than you’d like, say hello to this bucket hat with built-in, solar-powered fans! As a resident writer on the BuzzFeed Shopping team, I can't believe that I get to search the internet to help you find the best, most unique, life-changing products for my job. YAAAALLLL! This cream literally changed my life as a lifetime member of the Thick Thigh Posse! It leaves such a silky matte finish between your thighs that feels so divine when wearing shorts or dresses. Trust that I have tried many, many products to beat chafing, and this is by far one of my top faves. Promising review: "This is the holy grail of no chafing!!! I live by this in the summer, or anytime I have to wear swimsuits, shorts, dresses, or skirts. Goes on easily and does not feel greasy or gross on your thighs. It's unscented, so no strange smells. It also lasts for a long time — lasted all day for a Disney Trip. Best working stuff I have found, works much better than products that are in a deodorant stick style. I will never be without this chafing cream, even my husband has used this!" —aberfitchgr534 Get it from Amazon for $7.47 (also available in a pack of four or 24). Basic Concepts is a small business that specializes in personal care products and home goods. Promising review: "I’m super picky about what coil hair ties I use but these are by far my fave! I have super thick hair and it holds so well. They are super durable and stretch A LOT, so you can make sure it’s holding your hair well." —Gillian D. Promising review: "These have been brilliant to use, draped around my neck on the long walk back to my car after gym workouts. They are lightweight and perform exactly as described. I’ve even been able to work in my yard in the Florida summer heat for the first time in years. Affordable and well worth the money." —Kim Pinson Get a set of four from Amazon for $15.99+ (available in 12 multicolor combos). Promising review: "This neck fan is awesome!!! It fits comfortably around the neck and is very lightweight. Love that the vents are all the way around so you feel the cold air around your whole neck. Cools you down quickly. Would buy again!!! If you are reading this... Do not hesitate to buy this, get one now before they run out." —Kathy Jones Get it from Amazon for $29.99+ (available in seven colors). Psst — a lot of reviewers mentioned this also helped prevent peeling and itching! Promising review: "I bought this product to take on our vacation. I am so glad I did. I got burnt on my lower legs and tops of my feet. I thought I had put enough sunscreen on. I didn't. That night, I woke with my legs and feet both burning and itching. The instant I put this on, I had relief. OMG, I cannot say enough about this stuff. Buy it. Keep it on hand. Great product. Thank you, Burt's Bees!" —D.S. Reviewers also say it's a great, affordable alternative to the pricier Tower 28 SOS Spray. Check out a TikTok of the Briotech spray in action. Promising reviews: "I bought this to use after microneedling, but ended up using it for any skin issue or irritation. Bug bite? Spritz it! Rash? Spritz it! Sunburn? Spritz it!" —VWHITMORE "This spray is amazing. I had a rash on my face, and it disappeared after one use of this spray. I had a stye in my eye, and the skin around the eye was irritated. This spray fixed not only the irritation, but the stye went away as well. Any sort of blemish or acne is taken care of with this simple, inexpensive spray. Great for after-sun care or workout redness. Everyone loves Tower 28's expensive SOS spray. The SOS spray contains hypochlorous acid, which is the exact same ingredient in the Briotech spray for much less money. It’s a miracle worker." —Squid466 Get the 2-ounce bottle from Amazon for $9.99 (available in four sizes and in multipacks). Cliganic is a small business that specializes in all-natural personal care products. Check out a TikTok of the mosquito-repelling bracelets in action. Promising review: "I moved last year from Southern California to North Carolina. Bugs of all types have always been attracted to me, but the number of bites I got last summer was WILD. Someone gave me one of these types of bracelets to use one day, and it seemed to work SOOOOOO I decided to buy myself an arsenal to prepare for this summer. I read the reviews, and about 99% of them had great results. I've only used this bracelet twice, but both times I was outside and untouched. Delivery was very quick, so that was a plus. I'm not fond of the smell, I'm hyper sensitive to smells, but I'd rather have the odor than being chewed alive." —Tracey Agopian Get a 10-pack from Amazon for $9.49 (also available in packs of 25, 50, and 100). Bug Bite Thing is a family-owned small business established in 2017 that specializes in bug bite relief products. This works on mosquitoes, bees, wasps, biting flies, sea lice, and more. Promising review: "I cannot stress to you enough how much better this simple little tool has made my quality of life during summer in Ohio. It rains a lot. There are a lot of mosquitoes. I have horrific allergic reactions to mosquito bites. We're talking bumps swelling to the width of softballs within minutes of the bite. This tool doesn't make those bumps go away, but it stops the itch IMMEDIATELY. I was a huge skeptic; how could a little suction cure this agonizingly itchy allergic reaction? I'll be honest. I still really don't know how it does, but it provides instant relief that no pill, cream, or injection ever has ever achieved for me. If you live anywhere where insect bites are common, you need to own one of these." —Customer Get it from Amazon for $9.97+ (available in six colors). Check out a TikTok of the Airy Sunstick Smoothing Bar in action. Note that the AAD recommends using at least SPF 30 and reapplying as needed for skin protection. You can read about sunscreen myths and facts from dermatologists for more information! OMG, I just treated myself to this because Costco was having a great deal and I'M HOOKED. I had been wearing Black Girl Sunscreen for years, but didn't like how oily my skin would get by the afternoon. I was also v interested in trying out a stick sunscreen. I first started with this Neutrogena one, and y'all — it had me breaking out horribly. So, when I saw the deal on this and all the glowing reviews, I decided to go for it, and it's hands down the best sunscreen I've ever used. The curved design is everything! It doesn't seem like that valuable of a feature, but the Neutrogena one was just a straight stick, and it would get so annoying to apply when I'd tried to work around my nose creases or anywhere that's curved on your face. And the formula — BAY-BEEEE, ugh, it's actually matte, and I've noticed over the time I've been using it, my face is way less oily by the afternoon. I'm so happy I tried this out! Promising review: "NO WHITE CAST! I've been looking for a stick sunscreen, and this was just exactly what was needed!! I'm a medium-toned Black woman, and looking for something without a white cast is always a challenge. I have applied it on my bare skin, and there isn't a white cast at all! It's a 'soft matte' finish, for sure, and looks like natural skin. Like you're not wearing anything at all." —Martina Get it from Amazon for $16.37 (also available in a pack of two and a glowing formula). And did I mention that it can last for up to ~12 hours~ and survive every sand castle build, cannonball, and underwater handstand you throw at it?! Check out a TikTok of the sunscreen stickers in action. Promising review: "After yet another bad sunburn, even though I'm trying VERY HARD to keep sunscreen on, I bought these. First use was at Disneyland on a 90-degree, zero-cloud day. This helped so much! I kept an eye (as did my friends) on the dot so we all knew when to reapply sunscreen, and not one of us got burned. I also used these on a weeklong hiking adventure in Utah, where it was also in the 90s with an extreme UV index. None of us got burned, so all in all, this is one of the best inventions!" —Catherine Shock Get a 16-count from Amazon for $16.49 (also available in a pack of two or three). Promising review: "Awesome bag! Roomy enough to fit your phone, sunscreen, and lip gloss. It's the perfect size to keep your essentials together in whatever larger bag you're using. Super cute "sun' design/label and extra bonus that it is waterproof." —LAF616 Get it from Amazon for $8.99+ (available in 18 styles). Promising review: "BEST SANDALS EVER. I wore these sandals every single day on a 16-day European vacation. I was in the water, streets, sand, and even hiking in these shoes and felt nothing but comfort. Being able to wear something transitional between the water and land was perfect for this trip. The adjustable velcro band stayed fully functional and is still as strong as new. These are by far the best sandals I've ever had." —Jackie Beauvaise Get it from Amazon for $37.13+ (available in women's sizes 5–11 and 36 styles). Promising review: "I bought these sandals before a three-week trip in Europe; I didn't want to pay for Birks but did want something in a similar style with good arch support. I was a little skeptical about the low price but gave them a shot...and they were the MOST comfortable sandals I've ever owned. I walked over 120 miles in them in three weeks on our trip and never once had foot pain. They broke in so quickly and were very supportive from the get-go — and still are! Highly recommend." —Han Lin Get them from Amazon for $34.98+ (available in women's sizes 5–12, including wide sizes, and 20 styles). Promising review: "First off, if you have extremely oily skin, this. is. it. I was so tired of getting blotting powder/wipes. It felt wasteful and always left residue on my face. I saw this on TikTok and NEEDED it. It was backordered, but then I got an email saying it was in stock, and I was SO excited. Not only is it affordable, but it's washable, which helps you save money and be less wasteful." —Kelsey B. Best of all, you can control it via app and program it to match your schedule. Just make sure it can properly fit your vent opening. Promising review: "This supplemental vent was definitely a great investment. Bought it in May 2024, and it is still going strong in July 2025. The app was easy to install and navigate. No hidden fees or anything like that. I like that it is flush and smooth to the floor, also has a nice look to it. The fan can get pretty loud if you set it to the Max setting. The app itself is Bluetoothed to your phone and very simple, as in the settings can be changed anytime, very easy to set to kick on around the time your AC or furnace turns on. I also feel like it does a great job "pulling" that remaining heat in the winter and cool air in the summertime from our vent systems after each session. (I have it set to run a little longer once my AC/Heat kicks off for that purpose). We use it in our living room, the room I feel is most difficult to keep warm/cool. Would highly recommend if you have a room or areas that could use a "boost" in temp control." —JasonKim Lebeda Get it from Amazon for $59.99 (available in two colors and two sizes). It features four speeds, an ultra-quiet motor, and has a built-in remote compartment so you'll never wonder where you last put it. Promising review: "I tend to overheat while sleeping, and this fan is wonderful. It has a remote that does ALL the fan adjustments, including setting the timer for it to turn off. The lowest speed is just perfect, and the noise level is very quiet. I do leave it in sleep mode, so the screen that lights up on the fan goes dark, and the fan doesn't beep while using the remote. Also, the oscillation is very quiet. " —Jonnel Get it from Amazon for $69.98+ (available in three colors). Promising review: "This is cute and exactly what I wanted — subtle and durable! It's not as 'bright' as the picture shows, however, I find that even better because it's still iridescent but not tacky. Height-wise, it fit my 2024 Kia K5 GT perfectly, and I just dropped the sun visors down to hold it in place. The mirror cutout is also perfect. The only 'issue' is that it's just a tad much on the length, but it's not a deal breaker. I WFH and my car sits in the driveway all day, getting beat by the sun, so this is great to not only keep me from burning my chicken legs (leather seats, IYKYK) but also to keep my dash from fading and steering wheel from peeling! Get it! 😊" —gabygirlxo Get it from Amazon for $20.31+ (available in four styles). Promising review: "I got tired of coming out into the heat and barely being able to hold my steering wheel. This handles the heat well. The feel of the material is good, and it fits snug as it should. I love the color, and it doesn't look out of place. It does not interfere with the functionality of the steering wheel. The price was very reasonable." —Dianne Collis Get it from Amazon for $15.99+ (available in three sizes and four colors). VIS Paradise Goods is a Florida-based Etsy shop established in 2021 that specializes in personalized and sustainable goods. Promising review: "This is perfect! I constantly have my hands full, and now I can comfortably carry my coffee with me everywhere I go. I will be purchasing more!" —Erin BuzzFeed Shopping writer Emma Lord has one of these babies and says: "Psst — I own one of these myself and love it for the convenience of texting on the go! These even have a holder for a straw if you happen to get iced coffee or bubble tea and don't want to stick the straw into the drink just yet. I've found this to be very sturdy and easy to use, plus they're a fun conversation starter — people always want to know where I got it! Get it from VIS Paradise Goods on Etsy for $17.54+ (originally $21.93+; available in 14 colors and dozens of design options). A lot of reviewers said they bought two so they can always have one ready in the freezer for when the other thaws out. It also comes with a handy insulated bag so that you can take your duplicate on the go! Our AC was busted for a couple of days last summer. So after writing about these a ton, I got one to try, and found it to be very helpful at keeping me cool for at least an hour or two (depending on how hot it was that day). And to boost the cooling effect, I would also layer with a neck fan, which really upped the icy factor. Then, after we got our AC fixed, I would use it whenever I walked my dog to stay cool. I should have gotten more than one, so I always have one ready to go when the one I'm using melts. I plan to get a couple to keep in the freezer this summer in case there are any power outages or issues with the AC again. Promising review: "I saw these on TikTok and thought, those might be a gimmick...but honestly they work really well and don't get condensation all over you. I would say on an 80+ degree day, they last a little over an hour. But that is why I purchased two and can switch them out of the fridge. If you live without AC, these are a must. I will definitely be using it all summer long." —Amazon Customer Get it from Amazon for $8.99+ (available in four colors and packs of one or two). Promising review: "I used these under my wedding dress recently because we decided to get married in June…in the desert…and heat. Plus, my dress was several layers, so I was afraid I was going to have a heat stroke from walking across the room. Enter: these patches! I put one vertically on the back of my neck (my half-up hairstyle covered the patch well), one on my lower back, and one on each hip under my chub-rub shorts. They stayed on for the whole 45-minute ceremony, the one-hour photo session after, and the entire four-hour reception, and I was able to regulate my temperature despite all the fabric on my dress. Not the usual use for these, but bride's gotta do what a bride's gotta do, haha." —AmandaG Get a pack of four from Amazon for $16.99. They're also great to keep in your gym bag for a post-workout pick-me-up if you don't have time to shower. Promising reviews: "These are excellent for travel and camping. I appreciate that they have no odor and are gentle enough for my sensitive skin." —Cherise "I bike a short distance to work, and I don't usually get sweaty enough to justify a whole shower, but I do want to freshen up some. These are the perfect answer! The packets of 10 are lightweight. They are nicely moist, and each wipe is bigger than a baby wipe, so one is enough to freshen my entire body. The scent is just right: fresh, but not overly strong. I get to my desk at work feeling clean and professional, not worried I stink or that I smell like baby wipes. I will be ordering more!" —Kimberly Sandbulte Get a pack of 50 (five packs with 10 wipes each) from Amazon for $22.99 (also available in a 10-pack or 20-pack of 10 wipes and in a 40-count or 80-count individual sheet pack). Promising review: "For anyone who might be a skeptic, please allow me to put you at ease. If you have hyperhidrosis, meaning it can be 9 degrees outside and you're still sweating under your arms, this product has the potential to change your life. I would sweat THROUGH a sports coat before noon. Enter the Sweat Block product. I've had it for three weeks, and it is life-changing. I DO NOT sweat under my arms anymore. I'm still on the original box that I bought three weeks ago. I had to write a review after I was cleaning the garage today in 85-degree heat...I was sweating through my shirt on my back...BUT NOT MY UNDERARMS. It is amazing!" —Frosty McGee Get a 10-count box from Amazon for $19.97+ (also available in packs of two or three boxes). And you can also use them to transport dirty laundry while on trips or shoes! Promising review: "These are my best value summer purchase. I take my kids to the splash park all summer long, and these come in so handy for their wet clothes. It's waterproof, roomy, and a cute alternative to using a plastic bag." —Brenda Get a set of two from Amazon for $19.95 (available in 32 prints/colors and also available in singles). Promising review: "Perfect towel for the gym, travel, and more! I have two of these towels, a large one and a small one. I live on a boat, where space is limited, and the fact that these towels fold up incredibly small is my favorite thing! My second favorite thing is how fast they dry when hung up, so that I can store them away without having to wait hours and hours for them to dry in my compartment. I use the small towel at the gym, and it is super absorbent and super lightweight, I usually forget it is on me. Fantastic towel, definitely recommend." —Sam the Man Get it from Amazon for $20.99+ (available in 16 colors and six sizes). Promising review: "This is one of those things that I wish I'd found years earlier. I've suffered from mortifying stress-induced under-boob sweat for most of my adult life. Also, I'm a lifelong Seattle girl who gets upset when it's warmer than 65 degrees outside. So when I stumbled upon this product, I was curious enough to buy a small pack. And yes, I've come back for MORE! For real, I won't put on a bra without one of these liners now. It absorbs all the moisture from heat and stress. And because it's a really soft bamboo/cotton mix, my skin is finally not feeling tortured under there! Fresh Body is a small business that specializes in personal care products. Promising review: "This stuff is amazing. I am a sweaty person. Apparently, I have no thermostat because randomly, I will just start sweating and it's a lot. Well, I ended up with yeast under my breasts, and it gets red and sore. After you shower, dry off really well and apply this cream (a little dab will do ya) under your breasts and say goodbye to the inflammation and soreness. I also use it in the down there region too. I will be buying this forever." —Deb Warwick Get it from Amazon for $13.99 (also available in a pack of two, three or four). BodyGlide is a small business that specializes in chafe-preventing personal care products. Promising review: "I was so excited to get a new pair of my favorite brand of summer sandals but the first time I wore them they ripped up my heels. Since they were not returnable and I wasn't about to trash them, I was desperate and gave this balm a try. It worked beautifully! I applied the balm liberally to each of my heels when I put my shoes on and the back of my foot/heels were protected all day long! I can't say enough positive things about this product." —Guerra-Diaz Get it from Amazon for $8.99 (also available in a gift set). Read more about tea tree oil and acne at Mayo Clinic. Living in the Deep South, we sometimes have a condition called 'swamp butt.' Little red bumps like a rash or breakout can form in sensitive areas. Using this product once a day after showering...I've had ZERO bumps in over three months. It works. Doesn't smell the greatest, but it's tolerable, for sure. Great product." —Billie B Get it from Amazon for $26.99 (also available in a three step system). He lives on a lake and spends time outside, and this was a great way to keep the sun off him and just make it way more comfortable on the dock, in the yard, or out in a boat." —Anna Roon "Dorky in the best possible way! We use it in Florida while doing yard work. The fans really make a difference! They keep our faces cool and help repel insects. 4/5 stars simply because the solar fans have to be in DIRECT sunlight. Otherwise, they weaken. However, the batteries are very powerful and long-lasting. We accidentally left the fans on for 12 hours. They turned off automatically at some point, but turned on again with no problem. The hat fits my husband's larger head well (24 inches around). There is an adjustment strap, so it fits my smaller head also. And it is comfortable! The color came as expected, and it does not feel heavy when worn." —Pink Panther Get it from Amazon for $25.99+ (available in eight colors). I lost the left one in the pool and shook it out, and it started playing again like normal (it also floated on the top of the water)! Third, they charge so fast and the battery last so long! FOURTH, the little squeegy ear protectors are soooo nice! A few different ones for you to choose a size that works for you. It was 90 degrees the other night, and it's not even the worst of the summer. The BedJet actually kept us cool and comfortable all night!!!! It is silent, and it works incredibly. I know it's expensive, but it is worth every penny if you sleep hot or live in a godforsaken place like Phoenix. Other benefits: it was incredibly easy to set up. It fits under my bed, and my comforter hides the tube. It's like it's not even there. The remote is super nifty. And it even CAME WITH BATTERIES. When does that happen these days? I literally don't have a single negative to report. I have already texted my friends and family to spread the gospel of BedJet." —Kaley Repp And can we talk about those deep pockets?! These sheets are very cooling, insanely soft, and so so comfortable. My only complaint is that I wish they were a little more opaque because you can see the design on my mattress through the sheets; however, they don’t feel thin whatsoever, and I love the color and look they give to my bed." —Nina Get it from Amazon for $37.99+ (available in single or double packs, in 43 colors and sizes twin–California king, with a split king size).
