Seth Meyers Calls Bulls**t on Trump's Painfully Obvious New Lie

“Late Night” host Seth Meyers highlighted President Donald Trump’s continually changing rhetoric about the U.S. war on Iran, and eventually called bullshit on the entire thing. Meyers pointed out the fact that Trump was giving optimistic assessments of the potential for a deal with Iran to end the war on Friday, only to revert to social media threats of widespread attacks on Iranian civilian infrastructure on Sunday. “So we went from good news on Iran to ‘no more Mr Nice Guy,’ and in the span of two days, this is like the 37th time it’s happened,” Meyers said, referring to a Truth Social post Trump published Sunday night. “In fact, he keeps calling up reporters and bullshiting them about a deal that doesn’t exist.” Meyers then played a clip from NewsNation where Trump, while traveling in Las Vegas on Friday, reportedly told the outlet’s White House correspondent Kellie Miller that Iran had “agreed to everything.” “Let’s go back to the beginning of that clip, because there was a very telling clue this was bullshit right at the top,” Meyers said before replaying the clip. “He was in Vegas. You know what they say, what the president says happened when he’s in Vegas didn’t fucking happen.” “This is what Trump does. It’s what he’s done his whole life,” Meyers added. “He’s bullshiting his way through everything, but now he’s doing it with a war, and it’s not working, and Americans are furious.” Watch Meyer’s full “A Closer Look” segment from Monday night’s show here: By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
